Meeting of the Minds 2011: How Can We ACE the Patient Experience?
Building on our 2010 exchange, Redesigning Health Services with Patients Top of Mind, the 2011 invitational Meeting of the Minds zeroed in on how to ACE the patient experience? What role do access, communications, and engagement (ACE) play in creating a better healthcare experience?
Highlights of the session:
• A keynote address by Barbara Balik, senior faculty, Institute of Healthcare Improvement, on what drives exceptional patient and family experience. Balik also delivered our third Hot Talks on Health the night before.
• International and cross-country examples of how to engage patients in re/co-designing care.
• A session on social media and how it’s changing healthcare.
• A session designed by seniors and caregivers on what makes a good healthcare experience.
• An opening video featuring patient voices to ignite discussion at the event.
