President and CEO, Headwaters Health Care Centre
Board member Stacey Daub says she is inspired by the early pioneers of the independent living movement, and is guided by the belief that human dignity and compassion are the North Star for rebuilding our health care system. A mission-driven, values-based leader who knows it’s not what you say you do, but the everyday experience of the people you serve and lead that defines a leader’s success.
Working in health care for over 20 years, in a variety of progressive roles, Stacey is currently the President and CEO of Headwaters Health Care Centre. Prior to her role at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Stacey was CEO of the Toronto Community Care Access Centre (TC CCAC) where she spearheaded a revolution in the way home and community care is delivered in Toronto. Under her leadership, TC CCAC was been honored for its ground-breaking work, including the 2014 Minister’s Medal Honouring Excellence in Health Quality and Safety for its Palliative Care Program and the 2014 inaugural Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award from the Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders.
A lifelong learner, Stacey has Master’s degree in gerontology/health science from the University of Waterloo and MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. Learning for Stacey is the key to discovery and she believes she has much to learn from the wisdom of others, particularly the clients and community she serves.
Stacey lives in the heart of Toronto with her young family and is currently a Board Member at the Ontario Hospital Association.
